- Upon early morning arrival in Iceland, meet coach and tour guide and transfer to city center

- Short, panoramic tour of Reykjavik
- Travel to the Borgarfjörður area stopping along the way to see the Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls and Deildartunguhver hot spring
- Dinner at hotel in the Borgarfjörður area
Tuesday, August 6 - Siglufjörður area
- Breakfast at hotel in the Borgarfjörður area
- Travel east through Viking settlements and the area famous for the tales of the elven beings
- Visit a turf farm
- Visit a horse farm to learn about horse breeding and the Icelandic Horse breed with its 5th gait
- Visit the Herring-Era Maritime Museum, including all 3 buildings and sampling of traditional rye bread, herring and Icelandic schnapps
- Time at leisure to explore Siglufjörður
- Dinner at hotel in Siglufjörður
Wednesday, August 7 - Lake Mývatn area
- Breakfast at hotel in Siglufjörður
- Travel through the volcanic wonderland of the Lake Mývatn region
- Stop in Akureyri, the largest city in this region
- See Goðafoss waterfall
- Continue on to the to Lake Mývatn stopping to see several points of interest:
-lava formations at Dimmuborgir
-Hverfjall Crater,
-multi-colored solfataras in the Hverarönd geothermal region
-Krafla volcano
- Dinner at hotel in Lake Mývatn area
Thursday, August 8 - Egilsstaðir
- Breakfast at hotel in Lake Mývatn area
- Morning continue sightseeing in the Lake Mývatn area
- Visit Dettifoss, Europe's mightiest waterfall
- Drive through the barren highland areas of Möðrusdalsheiði to Egilsstaðir, home to Iceland's largest forest and gateway to the East Fjords
- Dinner at hotel in Egilsstaðir
Friday, August 9 - Höfn
- Breakfast at hotel in Egilsstaðir
- Travel south through the remote East Fjords
- Stop in some of the quaint Fjord villages along the way
- Visit home/museum with Petra's mineral collection
- Dinner at hotel in Höfn
Saturday, August 10 - Hvolsvöllur area
- Breakfast at hotel in Höfn
- Travel to Vatnajökull National Park, home of Vatnajökull Glacier, the largest in Europe
- Take a short boat tour in a glacial lake, to see icebergs up close
- Visit the Skaftafell area, a green oasis surrounded by glaciers and volcanos
- Drive through black plains formed by glacial flooding and volcanic landscape created by the world's single largest lava flow
- Stop at Dyrhólaey, a solitary cliff with bird life
- Visit the Skógarfoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls
- Dinner at hotel in Hella
Sunday, August 11 - Reykjavik
- Breakfast at hotel in Hella
- Travel to the area of Geysir to see the Strokkur geyser
- Visit Gullfoss waterfall, the "Golden Waterfall"
- Enjoy time at relaxing in the Fontan Steam Baths on the edge of the beautiful Lake Laugarvatn
- Stop at Þingvellir National Park site of Iceland's first parliament and the place where the North American and European tectonic plates meet
- Return to Reykjavik
- Farewell dinner at a local restaurant in Reykjavik
Monday, August 12 - Return Flight
- Breakfast at hotel in Reykjavik
- Morning, free time to explore the city of Reykjavik
- Transfer to the Reykjavik airport for return flight to the United States
- Those who would like another spa experience can take an optional excursion to the Blue Lagoon and then transfer to the airport
